CHELSEY AUSTIN is nineteen years old and comes from the small North Texas town of Bowie, about 90 miles from Dallas/Ft. Worth.
 
     Singing was her first love, and she began performing at the age of fourteen. When she finished high school she was well known to North Texas due to regular appearances on Johnnie High's Country Music Revue in Ft. Worth, where a young  LeAnn Rimes was discovered.
 
     Despite her country roots, Austin wanted to perform pop and rock.  She rarely got the chance however, until she came to the attention of triple Grammy-winner, engineer Phil York. He felt that her hi-energy style, good looks and natural charisma gave her star potential, and that she deserved to be heard by a larger audience.

Consequently, Phil York recorded her first album, entitled Download This.
 
     Download This is on the Scarwinds label and marks the debut of a young artist poised for national recognition.
